Commercial/Industrial/Intuitional Building Permit Fee Schedule

Notes below correspond to Commercial/Industrial/Intuitional Building and Commercial/Industrial/Intuitional Miscellaneous Building Permits:

  •  Demolition value will be based on the current Town of Bridgewater’s assessment. 
  • All fees shall be rounded up to the nearest $1.00. 
  • If a return inspection is required due to faulty work or failure to keep an appointment, a $50.00 re-inspection fee shall be imposed. 
  • Estimated construction cost will be rounded up to the nearest $1,000. 
  • The Building Department reserves the right question the estimated Construction Cost. 
  • The above-listed permit fee shall be doubled where work requiring a permit has commenced prior to permitting; however, payment of such a fee shall not affect the penalty for violation prescribed in Chapter 1, Section 114.4 of the MA State Building Code. Starting work without a permit may be subject to non-criminal citation issued by the Bridgewater Building Department.
  • Paper applications are accepted; however, an additional $50.00 administrative fee will be applied.

Commercial Electrical Fees

  • The Electrical Inspector reserves the Right to establish fair market value of work in order to calculate permit fee. Calculation results in fraction of dollar, fee is founded to the next dollar. 
  • All work shall be done in accordance with the requirements of the Massachusetts Electrical Code and Regulations of National Grid. Service entrance locations must be obtained from National Grid.  
  • Paper applications are accepted; however, an additional $50.00 administrative fee will be applied.

  • Paper applications are accepted; however, an additional $50.00 administrative fee will be applied.
