In July of 2016, Gov. Charlie Baker signed a bill, Chapter 121 of the Acts of 2016, An Act to Improve Public Records. More information on the Public Records Law is available from the Secretary of the Commonwealth.

For public records requests regarding public safety:

All other public records requests for the Town of Bridgewater can be emailed to publicrecords@bridgewaterma.org. Requests should be as specific as possible, including, but not limited to, a detailed description of the records requested, a date range, if applicable, and the department(s) from which, if known.

The default response format will be an electronic copy of the requested records sent via email. Printed hard copies of records are available for a fee.

This office does not process requests for Birth, Death, or Marriage Records. If you would like to submit a request for these records, please visit the Town Clerk's Birth, Death, or Marriage page for instructions.
