Mission Statement
The mission of the Treasurer and Revenue Collecting office is to bill, collect, invest, borrow, safeguard, and disburse funds for the Town, while providing exceptional customer service to the residents, taxpayers, and other Town departments. We strive to achieve this through efficiency, a modern and innovative approach, and with integrity and professionalism.
Description
The Department provides billing, collection, payment processing, customer service, and additional services related to Real Estate, Personal Property, Motor Vehicle Excise, Boat Excise, Water and Sewer Utilities, Deputy Collector bills, and all other Town receipts.
The Department manages and reconciles all the Town’s cash, debt, tax title, and accounts receivable.
Water & Sewer Bills
Water & Sewer bills are issued quarterly in January, April, July, and October. For questions regarding usage or rates, please contact the Water Department at 508-697-0910.
Boat Excise Tax
Boat values are based on boat length and age according to MGL Chapter 60B, Section 2. Bills are mailed by the Town in March or April and are due 60 days later.
Municipal Lien Certificate Requests
The fee schedule per MGL Chapter 60, Section 23B is as follows:
All requests are $50.00 per Parcel ID.
