Final Water Meter Reading

Request a Final Reading for a Move, Sale, or Account Closing

We welcome your request for a final water meter reading. This form allows property owners, tenants, attorneys, and real estate professionals to request a final reading when a property is sold, vacated, or an account needs to be closed or transferred. All submissions are reviewed by the Water Division and scheduled based on availability.

What should you include?

• Service address (and unit number, if applicable)
• Requested final reading date or closing date
• Property owner or tenant name
• Best contact information (phone and/or email)
• Forwarding billing address (if available)

What happens after you submit?

1. Your request is reviewed by the Water Division.
2. A final meter reading is scheduled based on staff availability.
3. Staff may contact you if additional information is needed.
4. The final bill and/or account update is processed once the reading is completed.

While we strive to accommodate requested dates whenever possible, final readings are subject to staff availability and routing schedules. Please submit requests as early as possible, prior to closing or move-out.
