Town emergency response staff have met this morning and will provide updates as necessary during this storm event. We are monitoring the storm and a weather/storm update from MEMA will be provided late this morning. It is expected that strong winds and heavy snow will persist through this afternoon.
National Grid resources and personnel have been allocated to the region, and emergency management staff are collaborating with them to monitor any power outages in the Town. Although, restoration work cannot be done until weather conditions subside.
A state of emergency has been declared for the Commonwealth by the Governor, and a local state of emergency has been declared. The Town and our public safety officials urge you to please stay off the road if you’re able to, in order to keep yourself and others safe.
An Emergency Parking Ban remains in effect through Tuesday, February 24th, 2026, at 6:00 AM. All on-street parking is prohibited. This ban is in addition to the current overnight parking ban already in effect. Vehicles parked on town roadways may be subject to ticketing and/or towing.
