WINTER STORM UPDATE - 2/25/2026 5PM

Town offices will be open to the public during normal business hours on Thursday, February 26th.

As a reminder, the due date for water/sewer bills and motor vehicle excise bills that were due on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, has been extended until Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Our DPW team has made substantial progress in opening our town's roadways. Over the next several days, they will continue widening the roadways. Tonight, they will focus on snow removal in the Central Square area and other intersections. Given the historic nature of the storm and the strain on the town’s limited resources, the snow removal and road cleanup work will take additional days to accomplish.

Once the roadways are cleared and widened, the DPW team will turn their attention to removing and clearing snow from the sidewalks.  As the sidewalks are currently unpassable, we urge pedestrians to exercise extreme caution in walking along the roadways, as the slippery road conditions and snow stockpile may hinder the maneuvering of vehicular traffic by motor vehicle operators.  The safety, health, and welfare of the town’s residents remain a priority for us.  We ask that everyone exercise patience, as this work requires significant snow removal and effort to complete. Our DPW crews and contractors are working diligently to complete this work as safely and quickly as possible.

If you have any concerns about your street, you may contact the Highway Department at 508-697-0931.
