About the SAVE Committee

The Senior Associates Volunteer Experience (SAVE) Committee reviews applications to the SAVE program and recommends participants to the Town Manager. The program contracts with qualified senior citizens to support municipal services in exchange for a tax credit, while increasing senior participation in local government.

Purpose

The Committee reviews applications to the SAVE program and selects participants to be recommended to the Town Manager.

The program contracts with qualified senior citizens to provide the Town with the benefit of their knowledge and experience in return for a tax credit, thereby enhancing municipal services and increasing senior citizen participation in municipal government.

The SAVE Committee is an advisory committee of the Town.

Composition & Appointments

The Senior Associates Volunteer Experience Committee consists of five (5) members: the Chief Assessor, the Collector-Treasurer, the Elder Affairs Director, and two (2) residents appointed for three-year terms. Resident members are ineligible to participate in the SAVE program.
